What Is Valentine’s Day…… Let’s share views

Spread the love

Do you think that TRUE LOVE needs a special day? Why Valentine’s Day?

Well I don’t think so that Love needs all that But of course we can celebrate love day as we celebrate mother’s day, father’s day, sister’s day etc. We can call it Love’s day.

Many of us do not even know the history behind this day.

HISTORY:

Saint Valentine was a priest in the 3rd century who performed secret marriages for soldiers who were not allowed to marry.

He didn’t want people to be tempted so he would marry them in secret. For this he was imprisoned on FEB 4, 270. While in prison he wrote his family and friends and asked for prayers and not to forget their Valentines.

May be we will never know the true history behind the man named St. Valentine, but this much is for sure…

Valentines ranks second only to Christmas in number of greeting cards sent.

HOW TO CELEBRATE VALENTINE’S DAY COUPLES?

Exchanging Gifts always makes love stronger. So on Valentine’s Day couples give gifts to each other in red as Red is the color of rose and rose is a symbol of love.

That is why we find Red ROSE 100 times expensive on 14th FEB. Then chocolates, teddy bears, stuffed hearts, and cakes are special gifts of this day.

Restaurants give special offers to couples and decorate their places with red balloons, flowers and hangings. The offers start with the beginning of February.

Now, not only restaurants, but book shops, gift shops, jewelry and dresses shops also give special Valentine’s packages.

So we find Red decoration all over the city. This looks beautiful.

WHO CELEBRATES LOVE’S DAY:

Bad thing about the day is that now schools and colleges conduct functions for this day.

Due to which our generation is indulging more in it and many students bunk their classes and schools to celebrate this day, without their parent’s permission.

This is unethical and non-religious in any community.

As the love’s day is Just for the real couples.

And there is no harm to get time for exchanging gifts to your wife or husband and having a romantic dinner in a damn busy life just to remind that you CARE and LOVE.

This is what I think about this day.

Very true i think…. we should stop thinking negatively about this day. as we can celebrate it just for happiness as here we have so much busy life with less family entertainment.
But ofcourse we must know our limitations.
